how to get the most out of therapy
Do you have a desire to feel, think, or act differently? Some of the most common reasons clients come to see me include: personal growth; mental health concerns; depression; psychosis; anxiety; thoughts of suicide; relationship issues; parenting and family concerns; separation and divorce; loss; stress; health and wellness; traumatic experiences; workplace stress; clinical high risk or prodromal psychosis; self-esteem issues; career planning and life transitions; and learning and attention difficulties, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Counselling is accomplished in a collaborative way, capitalizing on the strengths you already possess. I utilize a comprehensive approach to our work together, taking into account the biological, psychological, familial, social, situational, and cultural, with a healthy dose of positivity and humor too. People say that I am straightforward, transparent, a good listener, and down-to-earth.
I provide a supportive, comfortable atmosphere. Clients describe me as accepting, warm and honest; they feel valued and respected.
In counselling, I provide a place where you can talk about your concerns or problems and find ways to resolve them. I strive to help you identify and explore concerns and problems, and develop strategies for overcoming them. My goal is for you to feel at ease, respected, and safe in our work together.
I view you as the expert in your own experience. I strive to understand your thoughts, feelings, and experiences from your point of view. We work together to make the desired changes you are hoping for.
